I read an interesting article on ABC's web site today discussing how climate change could have knocked down the Roman Empire. The article is called Did Climate Change Kill the Roman Empire. I think the article title is misleading, and typical of the media's need to push fear and all-or-nothing theories at us, but that's probably a little too off topic.

With so much negativity and nay saying in our world, it’s hard for us to keep our spirits up and focus on what’s truly important. We as a society are at the crossroads of our time. We have the opportunity to decide what path we walk. We can continue to forget that our life depends on the health of all living eco-systems or we can realize the magnitude our actions have on the rest of life on earth. But, we must avoid thinking of the work and the sacrifices it will take to make a change as a burden.
