Steel & Stone Project Outline

Mission: To produce a video documentary tracking the process  
                 of building a sustainable dwelling.

Goals: -To rebuild a 19th Century house using reclaimed
               materials            
             -To design and build a house that is energy independent
             -To produce a video documentary that is both engaging 
              and educational
             -To popularize the philosophy of sustainable building 


Process: The house is currently prepared for remodel. The design will depend on what materials can be reclaimed from the original structure as well from materials salvaged or donated. The uniqueness of the design will set it apart from conventional dwelling. The building techniques will range from early American pioneer woodworking to modern steel fabrication and masonry. The utilities will be modern and in accordance with sustainable water and energy use. A team of artist, builders, and professionals has been assembled to complete the project. The video documentary will be broadcast on 2b4theworld.com and circulated through other online social networks.
