Old Coal Mines Adapted to Generate Geothermal Energy
Considering the recent push Stateside to further leverage our existing coal deposits, we should look at this as a way of recycling in the ground mines (of course strip mining is a different beast all together) after they're exhausted / no longer profitable. While the output described in the article isn't impressive, it can power the area near the mine.
